Incyte Regulatory Advice and Support Service
Today sees the launch of the Incyte Regulatory Advice and Support Service. IRASS is a new consultancy service tailor-made to meet the needs of telecommunications regulators in small and emerging nations. It will provide affordable access to international experts in telecommunications regulation for wide-ranging, on-going, ad-hoc support.
IRASS comprises two main features:
- A monthly teleconference call with experienced regulatory consultants to address topics of current relevance to each client.
- A quarterly newsletter giving up-to-date information and advice about issues that are topical at a global level.
In addition, should IRASS subscribers require further customised consultancy support this is available at preferential rates, based on an agreed scope of work.
David Rogerson, Incyte Director and Service Manager for IRASS explains that “I’ve been working with telecommunications regulators in small and developing nations for over 20 years. I’ve seen first-hand the difference that international experts in telecom regulation can make in these circumstances, often hired through bodies like the ITU and the World Bank. But then the project ends, the experts leave, and it can be very hard for the national regulatory authority to build on the foundations that have been laid. IRASS is designed to fill that gap – providing easy access to experts as and when they are needed and on whatever issues are currently important to each individual client.”
Incyte has been trialling the IRASS concept over recent months. Having received positive feedback we are now able to offer the full service on an annual subscription basis. To find out more information please contact us.
